Personal Training - Why do you need it?

ptimage1If you were already asking yourself that question (or you are now) then you first need to consider the following points:
  • Do you enjoy exercise?
  • Do you currently do enough exercise?
  • Do you find it easy finding the time to exercise?
  • Is the exercise that you do fun and varied?
  • Is your training structured to ensure you are working to specified goals?
  • Are you able to motivate yourself to start training and keep training?
  • Do you know how to exercise safely and effectively?
  • Do you have all the knowledge you need about fueling your body with the right food?
Even if you just answered Yes to every question, you can still get a lot of value from Personal Training, from simply freshening up your training regime or by taking your performance to the next level.
However if you answered No to one or several of the above points then Personal Training can definitely be of benefit to you. We can turn every No into a Yes, as your training will be tailored to your needs so you'll train where and when you want and your PT will be solely focused on motivating and instructing you. Our initial conversation will be used to identify your goals, assess your current fitness levels and set up a health and fitness plan to get you where you want to be. If you feel there are barriers preventing you from exercising then please contact Jigsaw to discuss, that's what the free consultation is there for. No matter what your current level of activity we can help you achieve results, whether youre a beginner looking to take your fitness to the next level or focusing on a specific goal.

We always suggest starting your first session with a full session of fitness testing, not only does this determine your current level of fitness but it also identifies any potential weaknesses in the body. (This is not mandatory so if you simply want to start training then we can streamline the evaluation). If you do opt for the fitness evaluation then it can be used as a reference point for further reviews later on in your training so that you can assess the progress you are making along with correcting any muscular or postural imbalances.
Key health tests include checking your blood pressure, resting heart rate, body mass index and body fat composition. Fitness tests are also used to establish current cardiovascular fitness levels as well as muscular strength and endurance.
Once we have collected the information this is used in combination with your goals and objectives to create a tailored programme that will help you to achieve your goals in a safe, effective and enjoyable way.

Benefits to training include:
